Direct My Link Gets a Small Redesign
The Direct My Link web directory system has received some small design and functionality improvements over the last few weeks.
We've added a Site of the Day to all pages under the menu bar. The system will randomly select a site every 24 hours to display site wide. Maximize your chances of being noticed and submit a link today to be in the selection pool for the Site of the Day. Future improvement may be a Site of the Week. This is in discussions.
We've completely overhauled the details pages for Featured Review Listings. We feel that every piece of information you'd need about a site is now represented and even some information you don't need will be displayed :) View a sample.
Added now are DML Stats on the top of the right sidebar. You can see when our PageRank values have been updated (we usually do this after datacenters settle following a Google PR Update). If you feel as if we're behind on updating, feel free to drop us a line to let us know. Also, you will see how many pending listings are in the queue. This will give you an estimate of how long your review will take. Of course, Featured Review Listings are always reviewed within 24 hours.
We've added newsfeeds to the main page, regular review listing detail pages and all category pages. This not only provides up to the minute news related to what you're looking at, it also provides content related to the category, listing, etc. for search engines to see and index. Since the content is updated regularly, the search engine spiders are more likely to visit and update more often.
Our goal is to get your site noticed by the public and by search engines. If you feel we can do anything in addition to the above to help this process, please feel free to contact us and give us your ideas.
